STRANGER FROM AWAY
DOCUMENTARY
A film by Vera Graaf, Max Scott and Nicole Peraud.
(short, 24 min.)
After years on St. Barts, where he
founded his own island paradise, Le Camp, New York architect Michael
Zimmer discovers a new challenge: founding the Sardine Museum and
Herring Hall of Fame on the Canadian island of Grand Manan. By turning
some old smoking sheds into a museum and giving the islanders their
first taste of contemporary art, Zimmer, riding around in an aluminum
sardine can, becomes the island's resident eccentric and keeper of
memories.
